New features

The following enhancement was added to the ColorTokens Spectrum portal on the 21st of April, 2021:

App management user roles

Instance Manager is a set of app management roles that allow Full, Scoped, or Read-only access to the objects in the instance and Full or Limited access to Xshield and Xprotect features. Add Instance Managers as the Instance Admin, Instance Observer, Policy Manager, or Asset Manager for the instances from the Launchpad > Users page

See RBAC roles in Spectrum for more details about the privileges associated with the Instance Manager role in Spectrum.

  • Instance Admin - with Full access, the Instance Admins can use all the features and manage all the objects in an instance.

  • Instance Observer - with Read-only access, Instance Observers can see all the objects and the dashboard, alerts, traffic, and reports data in the instance.

  • Policy Manager - Policy Managers have Full access to configure Xshield and/or Xprotect policies and manage alerts. Other privileges are either Read-only or Limited.

  • Asset Manager - Asset Managers are users whose access is restricted to a specific set of Xshield assets (or Xprotect hosts). Access is restricted by creating and assigning Scope tags to the Asset Managers.

    • In Xshield, the Scope tag can be applied at the level of Workload groups, Endpoint groups, and multiple selected assets.

    • In Xprotect, the Scope tag can be applied to multiple selected hosts.

See RBAC role privileges in Xshield and RBAC role privileges in Xprotect for more details about the privileges associated with the features and objects in the instances.

User management user role

User Manager is a role to add App management and User management users to an instance. User Managers cannot use the features in the apps, and the monitoring operation is limited to viewing the activity logs of an instance.
