Instance Manager

An Instance Manager is an instance-specific role for a user in an Xshield or Xprotect instance. Instance Managers can configure and manage the security features and monitor the assets or hosts managed from the instances.

See RBAC role privileges for more details about the privileges assigned to the Instance Manager role in Spectrum.

Instance Manager sub-roles

You can assign one of the following sub-roles for an Instance Manager - Instance Admin (Full Access), Instance Observer (Read Only), Policy Manager, and Asset Manager. For the complete list of app-specific features assigned to the Instance Manager sub-roles in Xshield and Xprotect, see RBAC roles in Xshield and RBAC roles in Xprotect.

Access organizations and instances

As an Instance Manager, you can launch the instances to which you are added. The features you see in the instance depend on the Instance Manager sub-role assigned to you.

See app licenses

As an Instance Manage, you can see the licenses' count for all the instances to which you are added.

See activity logs

Activity logs are a list and the details of the activities performed in the instances. You can see the activity logs for all the instances to which you are added.
